The name is a tribute to Alberto Alessiās winery, āLa signora Eugenia e il passero solitarioā, whose products come in a bottle inspired by a design by Leonardo da Vinci. Taking his cue from this bottle, Naoto Fukasawa developed a set characterised by pure, essential design, featuring a line with an obtuse angle, "Donkaku" in Japanese, which becomes the formal characteristic of the entire set.
